I recently grabbed some makeup from Nykaa and was excited about sharing it with you guys…

Nykaa delivered it in a classy black luxe box with a card that contained the details of the products in it. I love the way the add a personal touch to the packing depending on the products you choose.

Here goes…

  • NYX tinted brow mascara
  • Milani rose blush in romantic rose
  • Milani rose highlighter
  • Instain blush in pinstripe from The balm cosmetics
  • NYX wonder nude pencil
  • Nykaa nail lacquers
  • Milani High tech liquid eyeliner
  • Maybelline false lash mascara
  • Mary Lou maniser from The Balm cosmetics
  • LA girl pro conceal in espresso

Do let me know If you would like to have a detailed review of any of these products.

A perfect kohl waterproof eyeliner which is twist up and easy to use.

The LA girl pro conceal cream contour in espresso is perfect for Indian skin and I love to do my nose contour with this lovely.

I am so glad that Nykaa introduced The balm cosmetics, because I know so many girls who couldn’t wait to grab the Mary Lou Maniser which was one of their hot sellers. Their Instain blushes are fabulous too, they are known for the pigmentation and the pretty shades they come in. I picked mine in pinstripe!

Another blush that I picked up is the Milani Rose blush in the shade Romantic rose.

The Milani eye tech extreme liquid eyeliner is a great drugstore eyeliner which is dark black and has a precise tip to wing your eyeliner everyday.. although nothing beats my favourite Stilla eyeliner.

Alright, let’s take a moment to admire the beauty of these stunning Rose blushes. I must admit that it was very hard for me to resist myself from having this beautiful looking blush in all the shades that it comes in. The Milani blushes also have a great colour pay off and looks gorgeous on your vanity!

The NYX liquid crystal liner is a dramatic sparkle eyeliner in a champagne colour which is perfect for a party , festive makeup or a date night. You could either draw a wing, use it to cut your crease, or dab it all over the lid to add some glitter and glam.

Here comes my favourite from this haul, the Bobbi Brown lipstick in Raisin. It’s a beautiful warm brown colour that compliments Indian skin and works out as a perfect nude everyday work lipstick for medium skin tone.

When I shop at Nykaa, how can I not pick something up from their home brand. Nykaa’s nail lacquers were an instant hit and girls seem to love it from the time it was launched. They come in different textures as well. I definitely had to try it out, so I picked up a couple of matte shades and a couple of normal ones. They are in the shade earl grey, black current gelato, chia pudding and spiced ginger bread.

As your beauty buddy, Nykaa makes your life a whole lot simpler by not only providing you with expert advice and guidance, but also by shipping products right to your doorstep. Nykaa has a must-read Beauty and Makeup Blog – Beauty Book, an ever growing Expert Portal section with 25 leading makeup stylists, skin, hair, personal care and wellness experts to answer any questions or concerns you may have related to beauty, health, nutrition and personal care, a Virtual Makeover tool to ‘try’ and share different makeup looks, a beauty helpline and an option of sending Nykaa gift cards to your friends. These services make Nykaa truly passionate about catering to your every beauty and wellness need.

Nykaa retail outlets have opened up as competitors to Sephora in a few of India’s major cities. They also have their very own beauty subscription-Beauty lab, which is to me seems very similar to the well known Fab bag in terms of their product spread, brands featured and pricing or offers. Well In my personal opinion, I feel like we still have a long way to go in India as far as beauty subscriptions is concerned. Not all of us would wish to merely receive a bunch of not so well known brands of makeup or skin/ hair care products that don’t really appeal or excite us as much. To me, it seems merely like another means of promoting emerging brands or to create familiarity of fairly average drugstore brands with customers who are in their early stages of exploring beauty products that are more accessible to them. I would rather prefer to have the option of either customising and choosing the products or brands that I personally would love using on a regular basis or wish to try out in smaller sample sizes. My biggest ask to Nykaa would be for them to expand into offering a higher quality of beauty subscription. As they already have their categorisation as regular Nykaa shipping and the Luxe Nykaa shipping, they could probably introduce such categorisation for subscriptions to reach out and bring to life the dreams of several Indian beauty lovers, makeup junkies or beauty bloggers to have access to a more premium beauty subscription featuring a range of the best international products/ brands in the likes of BoxyCharm, Ipsy bag or Birchbag!

Apart from this, I really love the fact that Nykaa is constantly getting better over the years from how they started off by being passionate about celebrating beauty in India and growing rapidly in their product offering.

Nykaa has some exciting news for Indian makeup lovers as they are now launching the Huda beauty line, making it available in their online site very soon. I hope to see Too faced, Tarte, Urban Decay, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Nars and the likes are also launched at Nykaa soonnn….

With the widest choice of beauty products under the sun, from lipstick and luminizer to sheet masks and shampoo, Nykaa is no wonder it’s the hottest shopping destination!
