Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup

The Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Makeup fullfils every girl’s dream of having a naturally flawless skin and has quickly become one of the most raved about foundations by all beauty enthusiasts.

What makes this foundation so special?

The Formulation and Longetivity is amazing in this foundation. It has a very light weight liquidy formulation. The coverage is pretty good, covering acne, pigmentation and marks which is medium to buildable and definitely doesn’t feel too thick or cakey on the skin. It blends like a dream, leaving an incredibly flawless matte finish that stays put for more than 8 hours on my skin. Sometimes I wear my makeup in the morning and have noticed that this foundation looks just as fresh and in place when I check late in the night after a long tiring day for more than 10 hours. I love the way it makes my skin look like it has been airbrushed! When you try it out, You’ll see what I mean..
This foundation contains SPF10 which protects the skin from UV rays and sun damage. Usually foundations with SPF do have a white flashback on photos, but when I click pictures with this on, the SPF I guess is considerably low that It surprised me with no flash back or white cast, Making it a great foundation option for your big day or for any photoshoot!

Estée Lauder has a wide variety of 30 shades to choose from, in series of W- warmer undertones, N- Neutral undertones and C- cooler undertones. I picked mine in the shade “4N2-Spiced sand” (NC42 in Mac studio fix, O6 in Mac’s matchmaster, Y405 in MUFE for your reference). The shade “Honey bronze” would have also been a perfect match for me with warmer undertones,but I couldn’t find that at their Chennai outlet.

As for the Application is concerned, A little does go a long way and I find that this product does dry quickly on the skin, So you may want to take a very small quantity of the product, blend it out with a stippling brush or a beauty blender and then take more product to continue blending if required. If you have dry skin it is good to moisturise your skin well and ofcourse prime your skin before application to prevent any dryness after the product sets in.  It works very well on oily skinned beauties, giving you a matte skin that you’ve always desired to flaunt.

The Packaging is a sturdy frosted glass bottle with a golden cap.This foundation does look luxurious and high end, unfortunately it doesn’t come with a pump, Hence I always end up taking excess and wasting some of the product. You can always buy a pump from the Mac store and add it though. The Price is ₹3000 and it is easily available across India at any Estée Lauder outlet.

What I love about this foundation:

• Flawless natural matte finish
• Incredibly Long lasting
• Does not oxidise through the day
• Noncreasing and does not become cakey
• Photographs really well
• Contains SPF 10 to protect the skin
• Transfer proof
• Easily available in India

The only thing I don’t like about this foundation:

• Doesn’t have a pump!!!! I hate foundations that don’t come with a pump.

My current favourites of these are the Highlighter in “Global glow” and the gorgeous nude liquid lipstick in “Intense nude”. To sum up,The Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Makeup has quickly become one of my top 5 favourite foundations and is truely worth all that hype. I would definetely recommend this foundation to those of you looking for matte, high end luxurious foundation that lasts all day.
