Nars Radiant Creamy concealer Vs Maybelline Fit me concealer

The Nars radiant creamy concealer is the most raved about concealer next to the Mac Pro long wear concealer. As the name suggests, it is creamy and offers full coverage. It comes in a luxury heavy glass packaging with a rubberised cap. It has a doe foot applicator which aids in precise and easy application down the bridge of my nose, on the brow bone, Cupid’s bow, chin and under my eyes. I also apply the concealer on my eyelids and blend it evenly as a base for my eyeshadows. What I love the most about this concealer is its consistency. The texture is like a soft creamy mousse that blends like a dream on my skin, giving a radiant healthy appearance. They come in 10 different shades and I am in the shade ‘biscuit’. I love the way this concealer instantly brightens up my face. These concealers come so handy that we can easily slip it into our makeup pouch and carry it along even during travel. It retails for $35 for 6ml.

Recently, I got my hands on the Maybelline Fit Me concealer after all the hype that it is a good dupe for the Nars concealer. I wanted to try it out for myself to see if it’s true. Coz who wouldn’t want to have something as good for less than half its price.!?

The Maybelline Fit me concealer looks very similar to the Nars concealer in first look. The packaging however is a sturdy plastic tube with a very simple black plastic cap.The Fit me range comes in 6 different shades. The applicator is similar to that of the Nars one, except for it is slightly smaller. The consistency is more lighter and liquid like. Although it offers only a medium coverage, it can definitely be builded up.The only downside of this concealer is that, you have to quickly set it with a powder and prevent it from creasing before it dries out on the skin. They come in 6 different shades, but I am not sure if you could find a colour match as good as the Nars concealer range.I picked the shade ’25-medium moyen’which seemed closest to my Nars one. The longetivity is quite similar for both concealers. However, the Maybelline Fit me retails for just $13 for 6.8ml.

Now for the real question.. Is the Fit me concealer a good dupe for the Nars radiant creamy concealer???

Packaging-Looks pretty much similar, but the Nars concealer definitely feels more Lux.

Consistency- The fit me is lighter and liquidy in consistency, which makes it different to work with as opposed to the creamy mousse like consistency of the Nars concealer.

Longetivity- Both last for a good 6 to 8 hours.

Coverage-Fit me has a medium coverage that is buildable and Nars offers full coverage with just one stroke.

Price – The Fit me concealer is a definitely a steal for jus ₹500, compared to the Nars which is priced at ₹2100.

A good concealer is all about finding the right consistency that matches your “skin type” and to get the right “colour match”. Liquid or lighter concealers are perfect for oily skin. I personally prefer a creamy texture (for normal to dry skin) which easily blends in without much effort and with much lesser product for each application. Where as a liquid based one has to be worked with on a faster pace and it takes alot of effort to blend in and then build up and then to set it quickly to ensure it doesn’t crease !! Phew😓

The fit me concealers do have a very slight white flashback compared to the Nars concealer as you can see..But once it is blended in on the face, I was surprised to see that the two concealers appear pretty much the same when you set it right.

Overall, The Maybelline Fit me concealer is definitely a great affordable option to the Nars Radiant creamy concealer, but is NOT a perfect dupe in my opinion!

I was about to purchase the NARS and FitMe literally on Friday to do a dupe test because I’ve been wanting the NARS concealer since forever but because of the price, I just couldn’t justify paying so much for so little! Now that I see this, I think I may stick to my trusty Maybelline Master Conceal concealer. Give it a try! It’s soooo good and a little, very little, goes a long way!

They may not be exact but they look/sound similar enough to me, and that’s great because I can’t afford to be spending so much for the NARS one! I’ll definitely give the Maybelline FIT me a go! x

I have been wondering about the Nars concealer. I tried the Fit me when it first launched but something in it gave me zits. I was using it all over to highlight though, rather than just under the eyes. Have you tried the Born this way concealer yet?

Hey… I love the nars radiant creamy concealer too and I loved your review and comparison of the two. When I tried to purchase the nars concealer again… i got a fake product and this happened twice.
I noticed you have mentioned the prices in Indian rupees and I was wondering where you buy it from. Please help. I lost too much money on fake products and I really love that concealer.
