Sephora !!!!! A paradise for makeup lovers is now in Bangalore,India… !!! The long awaited launch of Sephora in south India quenched the thirst of hundreds of makeup junkies who stood in long queues to get their hands on makeup brands like Benefit, Stila , Make up forever , Estee lauder , Dior , NYX and ofcourse their in house brand.
Sephora’s best sellers are their compact powders, nail lacquers, rouge cream lipsticks, 10hr wear perfection foundations, retractable /gel eyeliners, lip liners, a wide range of highly pigmented eye shadows, makeup tools and brushes and of course their very famous face masks.Check out the Sephora collection.
This was my mini haul from Sephora :
The Nyx more to love mascara is a from NYx lush lash collection and has big bristles that coats every lash with a thick and even coat making the lashes look longer than they are, However it is not a voluminising mascara and that’s one reason why the Maybelline False lash mascara still remains to be my favourite!!❤️
The stila all day waterproof liquid liner is my absolute favourite of the lot !!!!!! And ever since has been my holy grail eye liner to create a perfect-winged eye look. It has a fine pen tip which helps in versatile and aids in easy application, creating a thin precise line to a thick dramatic look . It is definitely smudge proof and stays put all day. Though it costs 1300INR, it’s worth every penny.
The Sephora 8 hour mattifying compact powder is an oil free compact foundation that mattifies the skin completely for upto eight hours and ensures a shine free finish all day long. It’s a great everyday option for you oily skinned beauties to say matte during the hot summer days in India . I picked up the shade 34-Caramel toffee which is the closest match for my NC 42 skin tone with the perfect amount of yellow undertones to it. Price is 1610INR.
The righteous butter is an award winning body moisturising butter from soap and glory. After a shower I like to add a generous handful of the body butter on to my skin and massage until it’s all absorbed and leaves the skin soft and smooth ,without making it greasy or sticky. The packaging is really cute and It contains cocoa , coconut and Shea butter that is highly moisturising even for very dry skin. The fragrance is original pink containing fresh bergamot , mandarin , rose, jasmin , peach , strawberry , Amber and warm vanilla notes.. Making it smell heavenly , reminding me of luxury perfumes from Chanel and Dior!!! And guess what ? It costs less than 500INR for 50ml.. So why wouldn’t you want to butter yourself ☺️
I just can’t get enough of this fruity , divine Fragnance butter that makes my skin feel so smooth and hydrated !!!!❤️
I also picked up two lipsticks from the Sephora rouge collection , one is the rouge cream lipstick in R18 “Oh Oh !” and the other is the rouge shine lipstick in the shade N39. I love the rounded packaging of these lipsticks which is matte black on the outside for the matte lipsticks and glossy black for the rouge shine lipsticks .The bottom of the lipstick has a shade indicator, which is convinient while stacking.
The “Oh Oh” is a gorgeous creamy matte muted pink brown lipstick which is perfect for everyday wear office wear. It is very flattering on NC 42 skin tones with yellow undertones. This lipstick is long wearing and does not easily come off even after a meal. After almost 6 hours it faints away leaving an natural even stain on the lips. The texture glides smoothly on the lips and also helps to define the lip even without a lip liner . I’ve been loving this lipstick and I find myself gravitating to it very often and it can be paired up with a variety of eye looks.
The rouge shine lipstick in the shade N39 is a more of a brown and less of a pink lustrous moisturing glossy lipstick. It adds a plumping healthy shine and glam to the lips which can be worn on its own or applied as a top coat. It contains moisturing oils , antioxidants , vitamin E and Shea butter. It has 3D shimmer particles which adds to the shine but does not look glittery at all . The formula is so incredible that it makes your lips look extra juicy ,extra glossy with surprisingly intense colour pay off leaving behind a pleasant sweet smell.
Love these lipsticks and they retail for 990 INR each .
Sephora has a wide range of beautifully pigmented eyeshadows and trust me it was really hard for me to pick just one .The eye shadow that I finally chose is in the shade “it bag”- N 80. It’s a gorgeous bronze taupe shade that is intensely pigmented with a very smooth velvety satin finish in just one swipe . On my eyelids it looks like my skin but better, so it’s perfect for everyday wear in my opinion . It is very flattering on Indian /Olive skin tones and makes your eye pop with a natural look during the day . For a night out or a dinner date ,You could even pair it with a true black eyeshadow to create a sexy smokey eye.
Here is a quick swatch of the two lipsticks and the eye shadow
The fluffy super soft leopard print powder brush that you see in my photo is from Claire’s.
That comes to end of this never ending post .. Hope this has been useful to you lovelies ! Happy shopping 😉
